The navigator's job is to flag the things that are NOT just cosmetic: signs of DVT (sudden unilateral leg swelling + pain + warmth → urgent, can embolize to the lungs as a PE emergency), a non-healing ankle/medial-malleolus venous ulcer (CEAP C6), a bleeding varicosity, and superficial thrombophlebitis.
